Shen Yun
Seattle, Washington
Shen Yun brings to life 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through classical Chinese dance and music in an exhilarating brand new show you will never forget.
Shen Yun captures the spirit of a culture long lost. The show moves quickly through regions, dynasties, and legends. Ethnic and folk dances fill the stage with color and energy. Tremendous athleticism, thunderous battle drums, and masterful vocalists are all set to animated backdrops that transport you to another world.
It is a grand production with nearly 100 artists, 400 costumes, and the only orchestra in the world featuring both classical Western and Chinese instruments as permanent members.
Shen Yun is the first company to present classical Chinese dance to the world on a large scale and it has taken the globe by storm, performing in over 100 cities. Shows in top venues, like New York's Lincoln Center, are sold out. Every year, Shen Yun Performing Arts unveils an entirely new lineup of dances, songs, and musical scores that offers an exhilarating world-class production on a grand scale.
Think of it as a journey into a long-lost world you cannot see anywhere else - from ancient legends to heavenly palaces to the dusty plateaus of the Middle Kingdom to modern-day human rights epics such as that of Falun Dafa. You cannot even find a show like this in China, where this ancient heritage has been destroyed. But now you can experience it live on stage.
Find out why artists and theatergoers around the world are calling Shen Yun "breathtaking," "mesmerizing," "a miracle," and "inspiring." Allow yourself to be taken away to distant lands and ancient legends. See Shen Yun and discover how you, too, can be inspired.

The first festival showcasing cheese and meat (charcuterie) arrives in Seattle on Saturday, April 29th, 2017. With the recent boom in artisan shops across the Pacific Northwest the Cheese and Meat festival will exhibit both international and local cheese and meat in an experiential tasting format.

The festival will take place at the beautiful setting of the McCaw Hall. Attendees will wander the grounds at their leisure, enjoying bite-sized morsels of cheese and meat paired with wine, beer, cider, and delectable accompaniments. This is an exciting time in Seattle! The abundance of artisan shops and restaurants thoughtfully pairing fantastic cheese and charcuterie products has never been greater.

Proceeds from the Cheese and Meat Festival will go towards educating and aiding its patrons and surrounding community. The festival creates a support program to offer low-income or at risk mothers a seminar focused on healthy living, and generating engagement with local vendors.

Have you had a cheese or meat that was so good you wanted to buy it directly from the restaurant stock? Never fear, the Cheese and Meat festival will have an on-site store to allow attendees to buy the product they have fallen in love with, on their way out the door.

The festival will consist of two tasting sessions. The afternoon tasting will take place from 3:00pm – 5:00pm and the evening tasting will take place from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Seminars are scheduled between each tasting, featuring cheese and meat creations, pairings, and unique offerings.
